Anthea-lee practised at ENS, during which time she was offered a position in the Real Estate Practice Group within the Commercial Business Unit at Webber Wentzel and Linklaters (WW). WW has been noted as the Top Law Firm in Africa for the last two consecutive years and enjoyed a career as a commercial property law attorney. Anthea-lee now runs a legal consultancy business Kaizen Business Initiatives Legal Consultancy (KBI) which assists businesses with the conceptualisation of documentation within a legal framework that is both compliant and industry specific.
In her practice, she specialised in all aspects of commercial property law, including renewable energy projects. Her experience entails the review of a variety of property related agreements which include security documents, title deeds, servitudes, wayleaves, certificates of registration, bondholder's consents, lease agreements, agricultural land and renewable energy consents, IPP compliance certificates such as rezoning and land use certificates.
Anthea-lee has a solid academic background and believes in contributing to the legal academia. During her practice, she has written legal opinions in respect of the above subject matter for large corporations and has continued to write and publish articles in national law publications such as Without Prejudice and the Property Law Digest on recent property law developments.
Anthea-lee holds LLB and LLM degrees from the University of the Western Cape and is currently a Lecturer at the University of the Free State in the Department of Private Law.
